Welcome to our web site. I hope you find your visit informative and interesting. I have to first of all thank my family throughout the years for standing by me. I could not have reached where I am today without your support. When elected, chief in 1999, we as a department set several goals. These goals were to improve the overall operation of the department in every direction. I would like to thank the previous administrations for building a solid foundation. I have to congratulate the officers and the membership on achieving these goals and not letting up on striving to be the best we can be. I have been fortunate to be surrounded by good people to work with. This has been the key in getting our goals accomplished. We have been through triumphant times and tragic times, but we have stood by each other and never lost focus of what we are here to do. Just a quick reminder that everyone here is a volunteer. Everyone has jobs and interest outside of the fire department. These folks sacrifice numerous hours for training, to attending meetings and for fund raising activities. Many of the general public does not realize how much it takes to do what we do. We are always looking for good people to join our ranks, so do not hesitate to stop by or call us for more information. I want to close by borrowing a phrase from a good friend and departed member Lt. Bryan D. Abshire. "See you on the big one!"
Sincerely,
Phillip K. Skeens II
